Meet our Founder and Executive Director, Carina Morris

Carina Morris, the Founder and Executive Director of Secure Horizon Foundation Alliance, Inc., is a Queer, Lesbian, Autistic, Black, and Indigenous woman dedicated to creating meaningful change in the lives of others. With a deep passion for financial literacy, community empowerment, and advocacy, she has committed her life to ensuring that LGBTQ+ individuals and families have access to the resources they need to build financial security. In addition to leading Secure Horizon, Carina is a successful entrepreneur, running two businesses: Covered By Carina LLC, a virtual life insurance agency that helps individuals and families secure their financial futures, and VA Services with Carina, a virtual assistant business that provides administrative and operational support to professionals and small businesses. Through her work, Carina strives to uplift historically marginalized communities by offering education, support, and opportunities for economic empowerment. Her leadership and unwavering commitment to advocacy reflect her mission to ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly those most impacted by systemic barriers, have the tools they need to thrive.
When she’s not working on her business endeavors, she’s spending time with her wife, Sierra, and their pup, a miniature Schnauzer named Sage. She also enjoys hiking, camping, writing poetry, reading books, and being by the water whenever possible.
